A Huge Thank You and an Important Update!

As One Journey Ends, Another Begins

It has been a wonderful past three years here at Tennessee Tech, but now it comes to a close as Gabby and I prepare for the next stage of our lives. More on that at the bottom though, first an update on the ministry!

Winter Conference

Winter Conference was a blast! Students learned about resting in Jesus and had opportunities to attend several different seminars over various topics. They also had chances to hike, play board games, outdoor games, and dance. They all had a wonderful time and learned a lot!

Moments before Large Group

Chrys, Cael, and Weston doing Wings Up

In addition to the fun times while we were there, we also did a car-pool karaoke contest. I’ll be honest and say that I was not expecting a whole lot from our students because they typically like to avoid potentially embarrassing moments, but I was very impressed with their talent. Here is by far the best one that we had!

A Bittersweet Good Bye

The tables were turned at our most recent Sunday Night Fellowship. Rather than a student sharing their testimony and how God has been working in their lives, they took turns sharing how Gabby and I have impacted and shared the love of God with them. It was a very sweet and encouraging time for us. I can’t stress this enough, but everything they said is in part because of you. Without your generosity, I could not have been here to read Scripture with them, get lunch with them, or pray with them. Thank you so much!

Summer Conference

In just in a couple of weeks 24 of our students will be loading up to head to Panama City Beach in Florida for Summer Conference (SuCo)! SuCo is a week long conference where students get to spend time learning about God and hangout on the beach. It is a great opportunity to end the school year with some R&R and sunshine. For many of my students this will be the last time I get to see them, so I am looking forward to making the most of it.

Thank You For Everything!

Over the past three years I have witnessed students coming to Christ, growing in their faith, and finding community through RUF. I have been incredibly blessed to be a part of God’s work here at Tennessee Tech. Thank you so much for enabling all of this! I could not have done it without you.

Personal Life Update

We have some very good news! Gabby has found a job in Charlotte that is day shift and on her desired floor. We have also found an apartment in a good location for us, and I have been accepted as the RUF Fellow at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina! This means that through seminary I will continue working for RUF in a limited capacity. I will be following up with you next week with more information on this transition. Right now, we are very excited for our move and what God has in store for us during this next journey!

Prayer Requests:

  • For our transition to Charlotte and all the new things that come along with it.

  • For our students to have a safe trip to SuCo and have fun and grow!

  • For me to finish my church internship.

  • For Gabby to get through the last month of night shift.
