Houston We Have Landed!
Made it to Charlotte!
After a week at General Assembly and a wedding, through much chaos, rain, and traffic we made it safely to Charlotte, NC! We made it just in time before a huge week long rainstorm made its way here. New friends greeted us when we got here and helped us unpack. Each day has been filled with fun as we explore new grocery stores, restaurants, and attractions. Also during this time, Gabby and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary and she has started her new job as a nurse at a hospital here in town and is loving it so far. Thank you for all of your prayers as we made this trek to a new state!
RUF at Winthrop
This past month I have been able to meet students from Winthrop at Summer RUF get-togethers. It has been a blast getting to know them and they are a very fun bunch to be with! They really enjoy being together and hosting one another for events and games. I am excited for the semester to start and to be able to meet all of the students and start doing one-on-one’s again.
Students at Winthrop
The (Very) Near Future
August is shaping up to be a very full month right now. On Monday (7/31) I will be starting my Greek 1 Intensive which will last three weeks. After I finish my intensive I will have Winthrop Week of Welcome followed by my own Fall semester start. All while Gabby is continuing to adjust to her new job… I am sure we will be very thankful when September rolls around! In all seriousness though, I am very excited to begin my seminary education here at RTS and learn more about Scripture and God.
Thank You!
I just want to again say thank you to all of you for helping to make it possible for us to be here. Without your help I could not continue to minister with RUF to students on college campuses and seminary would be much more difficult. So, thank you! And (hopefully) I will be able to write to you again in September to let you know how everything has turned out!
Prayer Requests
That Gabby would adjust to her new job and continue to enjoy it.
That I would do well in Greek 1 and form good study habits.
That we would both continue to find and build community here.
That I would build relationships with the students at Winthrop quickly.
