Big Update!

The Next Steps

What’s Next

Over the past couple of months, Gabby and I have been in the process discerning where God is calling us next. He has answered! This summer we will be moving to Bowling Green, KY to take over the RUF at Western Kentucky University (WKU). WKU is a university of about 16,000 students which means there is a great opportunity to reach students for Christ on this campus. We are very excited about this opportunity and busy making preparations for our move. Please be praying for our transition!

Update on Winthrop

Ministry at Winthrop continues to thrive this semester. For our Large Group this semester, we are doing a topical series on relationships. Since I was most recently single, I had the opportunity to cover what the Bible teaches about singleness. In addition to preaching at one of our Large Groups, I have also had the chance to co-lead our guy’s small group again this semester. We are covering various psalms, and it continues to be one of the highlights of my week.

Our students have also enjoyed fellowshipping with each other whether it’s watching the Super Bowl or playing in the snow from the recent winter apocalypse.

At the end of the Spring semester we always have our annual Summer Conference. Over a thousand students from all over the country come together for a week at the beach. While there, they spend their mornings in seminars where they have the opportunity to learn about different topics from how to read the Bible to what it looks like to live out your Christian faith in the work place. In the afternoon students spend time on the beach with their friends building sandcastles, playing games, or swimming in the ocean. In the evening we come together for Large Group where we worship God. It is always a wonderful time for students where they get to grow closer to one another and to God. So please be praying for our students to sign-up and that it would be a transformative time in their lives!

Personal Update

Life continues to go well for me and Gabby. Gabby has been enjoying her ICU work, and I am in my last semester of residential classes in seminary. I will finish seminary this Fall remotely as I take over the RUF at WKU. We have loved our time here in Charlotte and will be sad to say goodbye to our church and friends. Nonetheless, we are also excited for what God has in store for us as we look to the future in Bowling Green, KY. Please join us in praying for new community and a job opening for Gabby at the local hospital.

  2. For me to finish out seminary well.
